PINTA 2012 also include a series of public talks with academics, museum directors, curators, critics and artist and this year a special showcase and homage of the Chilean artist Matilde Pérez Cerda.
Through the PINTA LONDON MUSEUMS ACQUISITION PROGRAMME, museums interested in Latin American art are invited to buy artworks from the fair by receiving special funds from PINTA, which they have to match or overmatch in order to purchase the works. This year the PINTA London Museums Acquisition Programme will once again include Tate Modern (London), the Centre Georges Pompidou (Paris), the University of Essex Latin American Art Collection (Essex), and Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art, Mima.
